Construction – Leon Watson
Leon is an expert in the Construction sector with 20+ years’ experience in International Business and Sales Development, Technical Writing, Bid and Proposals Management, Contracts and Worldwide Marketing. He has proven expertise in Technical writing for Bids and Proposals, and is an experienced Bid Manager who has presented to international audiences most notably in Japan (Ministry of International Trade and Industry MITI, now Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry – METI) as well as numerous Consulates and Embassies in Tokyo leading to successful international project awards in Japan, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Poland and the USA.

Defence – David Freeling-Wilkinson
David is renowned and respected throughout the international Defence sector. He has delivered Solution Strategy Development & Bid Management services for major defence prime contractors since 1994 with an enviable win ratio. He has delivered 100+ very large, complex bid submissions valued from £10m to 12bn (£500m average). Over 25 years’ experience of leading and advising winning bid teams, both virtual and co-located, including partners, suppliers and sub-contractors. He adapts to all types of teams from constrained budgets to multi-million-pound programmes, such as RAF Typhoon Partnered Support. Corporate intent and governance are always adhered to as he is accustomed to working at main board / CEO level in FTSE 100 companies. Furthermore, his varied and diverse experience enables him to motivate and, if required, develop the bid team to strengthen the organisation’s business winning capability.

NHS – Andrew Rudd
Andrew Rudd has 30 years’ experience of procurement in the UK public sector in healthcare, Department of Health and NHS. This experience includes working at local, regional and national levels in the NHS and within the Department of Health where he worked with many other departments of government on various public sector procurement initiatives. Immediately prior to his move from the Department of Health Andrew was Chief Operating Officer of the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency one of the largest procurement organisations in the UK public sector with a contract coverage of £3.6bn. Andrew has an MBA in strategic procurement from the University of Birmingham, he is a member of the Chartered of Institute of Purchasing and Supply and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Rail – Mick Miller
Mick has over 20 years’ senior experience in the UK Railway industry, across a wide range of activities and projects. He has negotiated and managed some of the largest railway access contracts in the country, whilst providing a proven track record in improving industry relationships and customer satisfaction. His last assignments have included heading up a team responsible for over £500m worth of railway enhancement schemes and leading the project team responsible for opening the largest and most complex station and retail development over a live railway in Europe.

Aviation – Christopher Costelloe
Christopher is an Aviation Expert with particular experience in worldwide Air Traffic Management and Air Traffic Control. He has recently consulted on EVP – The European Validation Project at the EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre, Brétigny, France and supported the Validation project for the New Hamad International Airport in Qatar. Christopner also supported the FASTI (First Air Traffic Control (ATC) Support Tools) Programme from 2005 to 2010.

Avionics – Allan Seabridge
Over 40 years experience in the aviation industry in systems engineering, specialising in avionics, flight systems and systems integration for both military and commercial projects, with periods of time in Project Management, Business Development; a period of time spent as Technical Bid Manager for a number of high value bids; ending my career as Chief Flight Systems Engineer. Also experience with Universities of Cranfield, Loughborough, Bristol, West of England, Manchester and delivery of CPDA courses in industry, as well as acting as external examiner for postgraduate group courses and individual degrees. Co-author of a number of aviation systems text books, series editor of Aerospace Series of text books and aerospace encyclopaedia for a major UK publisher.

Security – Gary Leather
Gary spent several years with GE as Senior Regional Director of Security & Crisis Management – Europe/Russia-CIS/Eurasia. Gary provides Security and Risk Resilience in many sectors worldwide.

International Funding, Regional and local development – Audris Grybauskas
Audris is internationally recognised for his work in the development, management and implementation of International Support Projects and projects funded by EU Structural funds. Audris is supporting private companies and NGO’s with identification of the strategy, mechanisms and schemes in order to apply for potential sources of funding for SME’s, NGO’s, local governments in their own countries, as well, as companies and NGO’s working internationally. Currently, in parallel with his consulting activities, Audris is also supporting the members of the Parliament of Lithuania Republic in Regional development, Public administration reforms, local, NGO and private sector development.

Tender Pricing – Greg Eyres
With 20 years’ experience pricing tender responses, Greg has worked with some of the largest companies in the world, he has advised on critical competitiveness issues and has designed and implemented methodologies and tools to dramatically influence the success of their processes. Many millions of dollars in contract wins and avoided revenue erosion have been achieved as a result of these activities. A sought after speaker on the issue of tender pricing, Greg has a Bachelor of Economics, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Graduate Certificate in Information Management and Systems.

Telecommunications – Dave Ingram
Dave Ingram is a telecommunications and multimedia professional with 48 years’ experience founded upon a formal telecommunications apprenticeship followed by 20 years split between British Telecom and Telkom South Africa. Tenures with two of South Africa’s leading banks spanning 20 years in voice, data and multimedia senior management positions. 4 years at Siemens Enterprise heading up managed services and formal employment career closed off with Huge Telecommunications as a consultant and product manager. Dave is now an independent telecommunications consultant. He has a remarkable ability to grasp complex technical problems and translate them in a way that business can always understand and separate the jargon from the core issues.

Road Transportation – Steve MacDonald
Steve has extensive and varied experience in the field of international road transportation as general manager Europe for a major operator. H has an enviable reputation for his stakeholder management skills within the supply chain thereby ensuring maximum efficiencies. Steve was responsible for management and deployment of the first major military road transportation deployment into Kosovo post the war.

Innovation Management – Niall Blair
Niall Blair brings Operational and Innovation Management experience to the BBL Team. A multi utility professional, with over 25 years of extensive Operations experience and leadership, he understands how to deliver outstanding results and customer service, and the requirements and expectations of multi-disciplined teams of internal and contract employees. His dynamic leadership of a systematic approach to implementing innovation contributed hundreds of millions of pounds to a FTSE50 company’s bottom line. His experience also includes Leadership development, Quality Management and the design and implementation of a competitive tendering unit which delivered 100% business retention in a newly open marketplace. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Economics, and delivers engaging, inspirational and motivational lectures and workshops for academia and business.
